WAVE is run by Ian George, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Ian George is the data controller for personal data collected through WAVE and decides how and why it is used. Contact: igvocalcoach@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email, login credentials) — to create and run your account. Basis: contract.
• Profile and practice data (voice type, vocal range, goals, practice history, journal entries, moods) — to personalise the Service. Basis: contract.
• Recordings and uploads (singing clips, videos, songs, community posts) — to give you singing reviews and features you choose to use. Basis: contract.
• Purchase status (which plan or product you have) — to unlock what you've paid for. Basis: contract.
• Support messages — to answer you. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Technical data (device type, IP address, usage and error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the app. Basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and run the app, store files, send emails, and power the AI singing review.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling products, managing subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle handles your card details — we never see them.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

We don't sell your data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it, or it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records (e.g. for tax) by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or move your data, object to our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls so your recordings are only visible to you.

Cookies and local storage

WAVE uses only essential storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme and recently used exercises. We don't use advertising cookies.
